intake removal
i have a trick flow upper and lower intake. i want to remove the upper intake so i can put in a 1" spacer in between the two. are there any special tools or any thing special i need to do. if not how do you remove it?

All you need is normal hand tools. Just unbolt it and then get a new gasket when you put it back on.

Whay would you want to put a spacer under that intake. Unless you have valve cover interference there isnt a need to do so.

yes i am having valve cover clearance and having a hard time removing the rear bolts on the upper intake.

They are pain in my assholes... Sorry.
But with those, at least on my 93, it just took time and patience. One turn by one turn. Get an extension and try that. I remember for some that I needed an extension, and with others it wouldn't fit. The harder part is when you put the TF intake on.

You have me lost .... you said it is already on the car and then you are saying your having valve cover interference. How is this possible if it is already on the car what is the problem I dont get it. Can you elaborate on what the problem is.

yea, the person that put it in shaved the iac and the egr and it now they rubb on the valve cover and stalls at stops.
