grinding tranny

whenever driving in 2nd i have a grinding feeling/sound from the transmission. also the same feel is when i drive in 4th gear at high rpm, something like 4k+ rpm. what could it be? the gears?

It is very difficult in Oman to find a t5 for me from a mustang. i found only one in the junk for about $800 with replacement charges. its pretty expensive for me. is there any other t5 which can get in the 95 mustang? like from any other car?

Sounds like the gear synchros are on the way out. Since you're planning to add more HP, you're better off looking for a stronger tranny than the T5. You could consider an Astro Performance built T5 or look for a T56.

Not really. To answer your first question, Astro Performance don't provide a kit but they do provide a complete tranny. Your best bet would be a T56 (yes, it's in the '93-'02 Camaro). It isn't a straight bolt-in replacement though so it'll require some modifications, including parts from Welcome to D&D Performance - The 5 & 6 Speed Experts!. This thread should be helpful:

I spoke with tony at astroperformance last night...i had some great advices from him on the gear box and according to him i can get parts from him for my t5 to make it handle good torque...the parts would cost me over $1300 tho which equating to omani would be over 520 rials (nearly 600 maybe), and i found the cheapest junk yard t56 here for 600 rials (about $1560), so i guess my better option would be getting the stronger parts for increasing torque then switching to a t56 as my t5 would be with new parts and i wouldnt have to worry about housings and all...

i think its time for me again to put in some money for my t5 in time to upgrade for a 347 stroker...

That sounds reasonable and it would be the easiest way to go. Certainly a lot cheaper than buying a complete tranny and with your T5 repaired, it'll drop straight back into the car saving on labor costs compared to a T56 swap.
