How the Hell...

Do you get the head light knob off?
The previous owner of my 95 GT clearly lived on a gravel road as evidence of this is seen throughout the car. My next project is to get the interior all cleaned up. I'd like to get the lense covering my speedo/tac off so I can clean behind it (thinking about putting in white guages too), but how do I get back there? It would appear I have to get the headlight knob off, but I don't want to just yank on it or twist it too hard and break it (I realize this sentence sounds a bit weird to those with imaginations), but some advice would be good! thanks

try looking on the side of the knob, i think it is held on by a little allen screw on the side, check that out and see what you find

If you look on the side of the knob, there's a recess and you'll see that the knob is held in place by a spring clip. Just insert a flat screwdriver into the recess and retract the spring clip until it releases the knob.

Perfect. Easy enough. I probably should have looked a bit closer before asking a simple question! And thanks for your weight reduction help as well!
