Wide Band Install

I'm going to be installing my AEM Wide band today.

Anyone heard of wiring this in with the EGR as well? What will it do and how do i do it?

I have heard that wiring your wideband in through the EGR plug will allow for for easy datalogging.

Any suggestion on where to put the o2 sensor. I have BBk LT's, BBK X Pipe...no cats...

there is an available bung on the bottom of the LT's just before the connection to the X pipe...and also one in the mid pipe...

is it ok to put it in the header itself?

and best side is drivers right?

Any of you who have never heard of running the wideband through the EGR for easy datalogging, must be spoiled with dyno's and external AFR monitoring.

For those of us who tune on our own, with equipment like the Moates Quarterhorse... have to find ways to get the AFR data in line with the rest of our log data.

The way this is done, is by setting the EGR to disabled, in the tune. You then connect your 0-5v analog output from the WBO2 to the EVP SIG wire, which reporta EGR valve position to the ECM.
You then go into Binary Editor, and set a new transfer function for the EVP, and have binary editor report it into your datalog as AFR. You can then change the points on your digital dashboard to show the reported data, which then falls in line with your other recorded data, and allows for easy readback and data processing.

95project, I apologize that I havent gotten back to you on this, I will send you more complete information when I have a chance. I am currently in Wisconsin, training up for a tour overseas. My net connection is crap, and my time is limited.
