header clearance?
i just put my equal length bbk ceramic shortys on and my steering shaft was rubbing on them. has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do ? i used a grinder and got it clear but what else can be done ?

I had the same problem, they fit fine with my stock heads but when I went with tfs on my stroker then they rubbed. what I did was dent the header just enough for it to clear. It sucks taking a hammer to something like that but it will fix it. I didnt see any difference on the dyno as far as horsepower from denting it so dont worry.

well i have clearence now after i ground down the shaft but i was wondering if they made a different steering shaft or relocater plus my headers are ceramic coated i wasnt even going to try and dent them. but thanks anyway

Maximum Motorsports makes a steering shaft for around $100.00 I believe it is skinnier but stronger. the website is: www.maximummotorsports.com
