Clutch questions

So I had my clutch replaced and afterwards the mechanic told me it would be another $100 to replace the clutch pedal adjuster? I passed for now but I noticed my clutch is STILL making noise as if the throwout bearing wasn't changed.

Is it true that after turning the flywheel and replacing the clutch it will make a noise for a few days? Not just quoting the mechanic on this one.

If this is normal will the adjuster be a fix? and can I do it myself?

1994 Mustang GT

I was told the quadrant is broken so I was planning on replacing it with an aluminum one. It should work the same way, right?

It would be this type.

Im still a little pissed after the fact I (for the first time) gave a shop a car of my own and paid good money for it; it still fucking squeaks. It's not squeaking like a champ but it's still slight.

I've been told that the triple hooks aren't good so would a single or double hook be best?

if youy are adjusting the clutch quad you pull up but you have to immediately push it to the floor or it wont adjust....and he is full or s##t...it shouldnt make a sound once new clutch is installed...

Well I have asked multiple people whom have worked on a vast majority of cars and they said after turning the flywheel and replacing the clutch it may make some noise for a few days but the big thing is that adjuster is broken so I know that has some deal with the noise.

I'm going back tomorrow so I'll see what's up.

the pilot bearing is a sealed unit; if there is any grease in it, it should be internally with the needles inside. I might grease the input shaft a little bit before poking it into the pilot bearing.

I can't really describe it but it's like the throwout bearing is out. But at times I hear a humming noise whenever I accelerate at top speeds. The mechanic that worked on my car ended up getting fired over my car and will be going back in this week. Possibly money coming back to my wallet.

It ended up being the pressure plate (collapsed).
Two weeks later, lots of yelling and threats and I have a brand new clutch that works great.

Motherf**ker ran my yellow top in the ground though! Thank God for three year warranties!

Oh yes. They were trying to tell me it would be about as much as they charged me before to put in a new one (perfectly new clutch that THEY scrapped). They ended up put it in for free that day.

For the future reference; if you don't have time to do it yourself like me, don;t go to Eagle Transmission.
