Headlights flicker by themselves
Hello, I am having a pretty serious issue with my headlights flickering on and off by themselves. Its really odd, it first did it about a month ago and has not done it again until this week. What they do is flicker and then turn off for maybe 15-20sec and then turn back on,once back on for maybe 30sec or so they repeat the process, while sometimes flickering wildly. Please help me, I cannot drive my car at night like this.

The combination switch that holds your turn signal/windshield wiper controls is the first place I'd look. The 12v source for the headlights goes through there.
Second place would be the headlight switch itself but its less likely to be at fault than the combination switch.

You're better off just replacing the thing with one from a junkyard. Not much you can do as far as troubleshooting it. I have disassembled, cleaned and reassembed the combination switch in all three of my cars to fix this problem. You can try the same rather than shelling out $80 or so to replace it with a new one. Its very easy, just make sure you reassemble it the exact way it came apart. Use a very fine grit sandpaper to clean the copper connections inside until they are shiny.
