emissions

So, i recently added a 95 gt to my stable of beautiful rides, and i have to get emissions done. right now it has bbk shorties, and an O/R x-pipe. there isnt a visual inspection, and i dont want to pay 300 for a catted pipe. it passed everything EXCEPT idle emissions.

there has got to be someway around that idle emissions without taking off the x-pipe. anyone got any good tricks?

Some parts stores carry this stuff you add to fuel called "guaranteed t pass". I have never used it but what have you got to lose

ok, so im gonna fix the EGR tube, but will adding a MSD ignition help at all for that low idling? basically its running rich at idle. (too much HC (ppm)).

would a tune be a better option? that way i can get the best outta my mods and maybe get a better air fuel ratio?

The EGR tube fits on MOST headers that are for 94-95 stangs. Can guarantee yours will though..

A tune wouldn't hurt. You may be able to adjust the timing to find a "sweet spot". I would start with the EGR though. It's your best bet.

yea, ive already tried a stock EGR tube, its JUST barely too short. ive decided im just gonna getlike a cooling system rubber tube thats really thick walled, and just get some metal clamps.

the BBK headers should have come with a new EGR tube. I'd suggest you contact BBK and ask about getting a new EGR tube.
