Question

Mach 1 Brake swap

I have a 96 Mustang with a 95 5.0 swap so thats why im asking in this section lol .I have a guy sellin the front brake setup which is spindle, rotor, caliper, and bracket.I was telling a friend and he said that If i did this swap I would have to get SS lines and move to DOT 3 brake fluid is this true or can I use regular fluid and my stock 96 lines?

You can swap them right over. You just need the brake lines from the mach 1.

Is this Robert?
I'm not sure if the Mach 1 calipers also use the coarse thread banjo bolts or if they use the fine thread ones so thats another thing to think about.
The Mach 1 spindle is exactly the same as what originally came on your 1996 car.
I've got the braided stainless steel brake lines on both of my Cobras and what a difference it made in brake feel! More solid and less pedal applications to get a more firm brake feel than the rubber hoses.
DOT 3 brake fluid actually is "regular" brake fluid. DOT 3 and DOT 4 are compatible with each other, DOT 5 is completely different so if you convert to DOT 5 you would need to completely flush the system of DOT 3/4.
