Trans for 3.8 same as 5.0?

I'v been told that the 5spd trans from the 3.8L mustang is the same as the one in the 5.0. I was wondering if this is true? I tried to look up part numbers to verify but I'm coming up with nothing. I know the fox boday T-5 was different between 4 and 8 cylinders but like I said Im not finding any specifics on the 94-95 cars. Any help would be grately appreciated. Thanks

They will work if you use a 94-98. They are different internally though. They share the same torque rating as a 87-89 5.0 car. I've used them before in stock GT's with no issues.
