trans swap
i have a 94 stang gt auto and my tranny is giving me problems around third gear. it feels like its slipping out of gear then slamming back into gear whithout touching the gas or brake pedal. im looking for any ideas on what i should do for a trans swap. im also looking into swapping in a ford 9" rear and any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated.

Just have your existing tranny rebuilt with new performance parts, a mechanical diode one-way intermediate clutch, a shift kit, and add an external tranny oil cooler.
As for the axle, I would just swap a pair of 31-spline axleshafts into the existing 8.8.
