Gain in HP???
im waiting for a JET performance chip that will be put in my car, and i want to put some gt40 heads in this summer. How much hp gain can i expect from these and what are some other things that i could bolt on for more hp but not to spendy...im only 17 an need to save up for college next year. any replies appreciated
oh and im also thinking about putting a shift kit in since it is an aod |

well if it is the original trans in a 94/95 it is an aode ( electronic overdrive) just so you know when ordering a shift kit...also headers and exhaust are a good thing to do before doing alot of other mods.

Gears....with the auto maybe some 4.10's i like the 3.73's

If you're going to do a computer tune at all, go for either the Tweecer RT or the Anderson Ford Motorsport PMS. Any off-the-shelf burnt chip is likely to be hit or miss so stick to one of the aforementioned programmeable units. Other bolt-ons? Go for the 3.73:1 ring and pinion. No question it's a great bang per buck mod and I'm very happy with mine (I had it installed less than 2 weeks ago). IMO, the 4.10:1 will raise the revs too much on the highway so I'd advise against it. With the 3.73:1 r&p, the engine will be at 2300rpm at 70mph in overdrive with 245/45ZR17 tires.

Shift kit, gears, full exhaust prolly be the best mods for your money.
