No, not all "cold air intakes" are the same. Some are actually hot air intakes 'cause the filter draws hot air from the engine compartment, so they're the ones you want to avoid unless you can build an effective heatshield around them.

Does the K&N draw it's air from the fender or from the engine bay?

i run a MAC fenderwell setup, i'd go with something like this if your not too worried about the $ too much. Also, someone once told me to use header wrap to the intake to keep heat out, dont know if anyone runs their setup like this, maybe when running at the track.

Don't waste money on that, if anything you should get an Anderson Power Pipe. Otherwise, all CAIs are all the same as the stock intake really.

^ This. Power pipes are where it's at as far as intake piping goes. Either than or make your own. BBK and MAC and all that other stuff is garbage.

Look at the JLT in your link compared to this one here. http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.co...emart&Itemid=1

The JLT has a pipe just before the TB that chokes it down. With a stock TB on there, you're fine, but if you ever upgrade the intake and TB size, then it becomes a restriction. The powerpipe is big enough to grow into. Plus the JLT is made out of PVC. The power pipe is TIG'd aluminum and the welds are ground off and the pipe polished so it looks like one big mandrel bent piece of pipe.

I need an opinion on this CAI from ebay
94-95 Ford Mustang 5.0 V8 Cold Air Intake Induction Kit | eBay

This CAI would cost me 130$ with taxes and shipping

Other CAI like BBK,JLT..... I can't get under 300-330$

I have had 2 of those ebay cai kits one I used to have on my 94 stang just like this one and one on my dodge ram they both worked great for me the biggest thing is to suck in air that isn't in the engine bay where it is hot air

Personally i think that a drop in K&N is just as good as a CAI. Unless you are getting a reallt nice one. Forget ebay, They are junk
