What year 351W BlockAgain should I keep looking for a Roller Block cuz this is a next summer project. I am not looking to get past 600 HP (crank) and I heard the 351 Will do that. Also this will be 90% street car

Also would I be better off with Carb or EFI? I never have carb but wouldn't mind going for it... if I gotta buy a new lower intake, I might as well? what do you guys think.

well the simple way to go would be to find a 351 roller. like in the lightning,f-250-350's. but the non-roller block's, from what i've heard are a bit stronger. the only down side to the non-roller is that if you want to use a roller cam setup, you'll have to buy a set of those "retro-fit" linked roller lifters that cost almost $500!!! you could use 302 roller lifters but you'd have to drill holes for the spider plate and you'd be limited to small base circle cams.which to me, would be point-less for a performance 351W. but to sum-up the question, i'd go w/ the non-roller block. because even though you have to spend more money up front, you'd have a lit bit of a stronger block, and you'd still have to buy about 95% of that stuff in the long-run to upgrade the original roller block.
