How much money are you working with for the swap?
If you are going with an auto, you are almost limited to an EFI setup unless you run an older auto trans like a c4. If you are going manual, you will need a built up t-5 trans at least and you have the carb option.

PA makes a AODE Controller if he goes carbed and you can dial in your shift points with the controller as well. So you can run a Carbed Car with a AODE...

Personally I say go carb'd cause I think it's better than fuel injection unless you feel like pouring money into a standalone efi setup but in your case it may be cheaper to do efi cause you can just chip the factory computer or do a fast ez efi setup they are resonably priced and I'm goin carb'd with my 418w and I'm putting it in a 95 v6 body I'm just gonna chop out the ecu and rerun the necessary eletrics but honestly you would be better off with fuel injection but it's really up to you, you just gotta weigh your options

^ Why would you need stand alone? The ECU in a fox can do it, and it can in a SN95 as well...

I never said he needed a standalone I just stated what my opinion was and how I am doin my 351 swap. If I came off that way it was never my intention to do so, I merely just stated my opinions cause I really don't care much for the factory ecu of the 5.0s I just stated my opinion that's all. If your not trying to set the world on fire stay fuel injected get a chip call it good or buy a fast ez efi kit if you want like what I'll be making when my setup is done go carb or drop the cash for a standalone. Just my .02 that is all so you can take it or leave it won't hurt my feelings none, just tryin to help out.

Roller windsor blocks are only good to 550 or 600 then they break the main webbing, late 70s and later on are about the same maybe a bit stronger but the 69-74 are the strongest but only trust a 69 or 70 block for a real high hp application they have been used for 1000 hp setups without breaking

40th...whoa. Calm down. Just stating.
Anyway. stock ECU with a tune can do it. Granted the 94/95 ECUs sucked even compared to the A9L. Either way. SHouldn't be a problem as long as you don't go super radical on the setup. Side note. Windsor blocks handle well more than 550-600hp, even the 'weak' ones cast after the late 60s, early 70s. Ive seen 800hp Windsors...hold. Stock crank, good rods and pistons...stock block...with boost. If your goal is 4 digits, get an aftermarket block. If you want to stay around 800 tops. You will be fine if you stuff good parts in it and run a girdle and good safe tune...

94/95 ECU's aren't any better or worse than a A9L. The A9L is just easier to tune.

Its not actually harder. Tuners early on didn't know how to tune them and never learned. A few functions are different. Its actually more trouble to do the fox computer swap now than to just tune the car the right way.
