Question

Autometer Mechanical Water Temp Gauge

Ive recently purchased a water temp gauge cause my oem gauge is giving me weird readings and making me think my stang is overheating. Does anyone have a writeup on how to install the autometer gauge or any useful pics cause Im kind of lost on how to do it. Any would be useful!

You can drill and tap the thermostat housing and install it there (on top), or since you are having the factory gauge problems, you can remove the original one (drivers side lower manifold), install it there (still may have to tap it out to fit yoru sending unit). Another way is to get a inline radiator hose splice, its a metal tube that you cut the hose and install the splice and then you install the sending unit there, you need to do it in the top rad hose. the splice already has a fitting that you install any sensor, etc. in there.
