drag race need help
I have grudge drag race next weekend and i need some help on what mods to do i am on a budget i need best bang for its buck mods to lower et's
i was thinking to start with 3.73 or 4.10 my car is a 95 5.0 gt stock 5 spd and i dont really do freeway driving so help me out please i am racing a modified acura integra non turbo this race is for domestic pride if you have old parts for sale or lying around let me know |

4.10s, exhaust to make it breath, and a sticky tire to come out of the hole hard should get it done. a friend of mine has a 99GSR non turbo teg and i whip his ass all day long with my stock motor'd car.

Cant make any promises, pull out your air filter, spray your mass air with brake clean (just to clean it, while the car is off by the way), Exhaust is good, X or catback.. but you only have a week. CHange the oil..lol... not much to work with in a week. Hope he didnt buy anything!

The 3.73 ring and pinion is a great bang per buck mod but here's a list of mods that'll cost you almost nothing yet improve performance, and you can easily accomplish them within the next week:
More HP: Remove air silencer from intake Remove MAF screen Gut the cats Less weight: Remove smog pump Remove strut tower brace Remove rear differential "dogbone" Remove rear seats Remove spare wheel Remove jack, handle, and wheel brace Remove front anti-sway bar

don't sweat it man, you shouldn't have a problem taking him unless he put A TON of money into his engine...
but if you want to be sure go with some 4.10's (since you said you don't do highway driving) and like somebody else said, do an oil change, take out excess weight like your tire and what not (I wouldn't suggest removing your rear seat just to race an integra  ) you could also put a small shot of nitrous on there. A 75-125 shot would be a nice little kick and isn't going to cost a ton. Let us know how much you beat him by!! |
