A cam swap should be the very last thing you do to a 5.0 after you've done all the other performance mods (CAI, MAF, TB, headers, midpipe, catbacks, pulleys, heads, intake manifold).
Even then I think you should consider doing a 3.73 axle gear swap as your first mod, and either an MGW short throw shifter (manual) or a Transgo HD2 shift kit (auto) depending on which tranny you have.

What bullitt said^. You won't gain a lot just from a cam swap.
