Brakes - Overusing My Rears?
Now, this just happened last night, I have a mean "grinding" coming from my right rear brake assembly. There's now some lines showing up on my rotor, probably being caused by a bad pad or what-have-you. Though, wait... Thought about it...
Could I be overusing my rear brakes? I had posted earlier about doing the BAER swap for the front, and we know those calipers are dual piston. The Cobra in this body style, which has this brake set-up stock, has a hydraboost system. I do not (GT). So, in theory, (correct me if I'm wrong), could I be under working my front brakes, leading me to over use my rear brakes, using them up quicker??

Ok, so none of this was relevant. I had no choice but to take it in and found out my calipers were frozen closed. Check this picture out...
![]() Melted that brake pad like a boss!! What you see behind is the rotor, eaten alive. Now, how did I not see this? Cuz this was the inboard pad. Fml...

Looks like it is time for some new calipers, rotors, and pads.
