Convertible Top Boot Cover?

hi all,
just got my 'vert in may and of course it didn't come with the boot. my top is saddle but i found a black like new from a 2001. from my research it should fit but all the new replacement ones i see on the net require drilling and installation of snaps. i rented a '94 'vert when it was new back in the day it didn't snap on. also was saddle a factory color option for boots? i'd like to keep this stock but the black boot is only $80. TIA

Never seen a boot that snaps on...The stock ones slide into a channel and the rest of it hooks in with little tabs to the trim. If the one your looking at requires drilling for snaps then its an aftermarket piece and not factory.

94-04 are supposed to be the same. I have a 99 on my 95 fits fine.as for color I don't know for sure but I have only seen black ones.
