Odometer and Speedometer off

So I had 3.73 gears put in and now my speedo is off. I put the correct Speedo gear in but it is still off by about 10mph when I'm on the highway and about 4 mph around the city. It is also causing the mileage on my car to go up more than they should.

Does anyone know what I can do to get everything working right? or should i get the speedo gear for like 4.11 gears and jsut deal with it? That way my mileage wont go up as fast.

Does anyone know what the RPMS should be around at 75 for a 95 gt with 3.73's?

did you install both gears the one inside the transmission and the speedo sender gear should be a yellow gear on the output shaft and a red one on the sender i believe. the previous owner of my car had put just the red gear in and it was off by 10 mph

Yes. Since you have a T5 tranny the fix is easy. Just get a plastic 7-tooth drivegear for the tranny tailshaft and a 21-tooth speedo gear. LRS should have both in stock.

and is putting the drive gear in the tranny hard? or is it the same general place and ease of installation as the speedo gear? cause the speedo gear was really easy

Not hard but it's more involved. You need to disconnect the driveshaft and remove the tailshaft housing from the tranny to expose the tailshaft. Probably about 1-1/2 hour's work if you put the car on a lift, longer if you're crawling on your back and using jackstands.
