Nice creativity. How hot does the pvc get under the hood?

mmmm i havent checked but i would guess it would be about the same as the fan shroud or the plastic clips for the sensors.
next im wanting to get a peice of plexi cut to seal up the hole so the filter is even more isolated and the pipe is supported better. so far its working great i drove to work this morning and it was holding 75mph wayyyy easier. just filled up the tank and gona see what kind of mpg i get so far ive been getting about 250-280 out of a tank before the cai |

I don't know. I don't like all those turns in it but hey, points to you for giving it a try. Maybe give it another go and make the whole damn thing out of PVC with more of a straight line into the fender.
I've been wanting to do just that myself but haven't yet. Plastic doesn't absorb heat like metal does so it would be the best in cold air intake design.

So got some results from it, I picked up 42miles out of my tank and could have gotten probly 10-15 more on the highway. I'm gona check the timing and see if the. Previous owner bumpeed it up snce I did see 2 timing marks on the balancer.
Would I get better mpg from more or less timing? |
