Possible dumb question...

Alright, I've only had the change the oil in my car about 3 times since I bought it...95 GT...and I've used the same oil filter the previous owner used...different brand, but same filter. Anyway, looking thru the filter book, you will notice that there are two options for the 1995 5.0. one is followed by a (T) and the other by a (D). I believe they are even different sizes. What is the difference between them and how would one know which they are supposed to use?

Cool

What brand and size filters are you talking about as the only letters I know behind the filter size for the 94-95 Mustang 5.0s is an A example: FL1A(Motorcraft), PH8A(Fram), TG8A(Fram Tough Guard), L3001(Purolator), PL3001(Purolator Pureone).

I'm looking at Fram filters....I was unclear, I apologize. The letters follow the engine size, not the filter. In the book it looks like this
3.8 V6
5.0 V8 (T)
5.0 V8 (D)
And each has its own filter size...I just assumed there was 1 type of 5.0. Is one for a truck or something maybe?

Cool

T would be the GT 5.0 and the D would be the Cobra 5.0. The T and D are the vin letters for the engine.
