Headlight assembly problem

Ok one of my corner lights on my 95 Mustang was damaged so I bought a set of aftermarket headlights off his 98 but when I went to install them the hold down for the headlight bulb is different, do I need a different hold down or what?

Most likely it's just on back wards or upside down. They can be removed easily and so it could have been installed the wrong way.

No the bulb is in there correctly but the round piece that holds it tight into place doesn't fit onto the new headlight assembly because it is designed differently, I will take some pictures tomorrow when I go work on the car again and post them up.

Ok was just able to upload the photos of the headlights.

First 2 are of the hold headlight housing showing the stock hold down for the headlight socket.

Here is the aftermarket housing

The new ones should've come with there own set. I've had this happen when I tried using the stock old screw on the new housing by accident. That's when I found out they differ but the new ones I got did come with there own that I ended up using.

That sucks cause I got these used and didn't get any new screw on pieces.

I see some fabrication in my future.
