Timing, shorter belt(bypass accesories), off road x or h pipe. Intake (cold air)

Gears wont make more power but will help ur acceleration, and traction bars will help plant the power to the pavement.

Nitrous.

What is ur budget?

Any heavy mods will need a tune for your specific computer. The t4mo computers are not modder friendly. You increase volumetric efficiency you will have terrible spark curve. The older mustangs spark curve was based on rpm's. In 94-95 ford made the spark curve based on rpms/vol. eff.. Basicallly if you make your engine breathe better then a stock 5.0L, your ignition will advance to early making your power gains actually less then stock. These computerrs have a 3x faster processor then the older style mustangs and the manufactuerer of the swap kit is no longer producing them so unless your electrically inclined the swap is out of mind.

If your looking for small gains, I would personally look to free up horsepower through underdrive pulley set, making your car lighter, gearing it toward better acceleration etc.

Making the engine itsself breathe better will require tunes to make it run properly.

try reading my thread on bolt ons. that will give you a really good idea on where you should start first, with the dyno numbers to match.

Get to the junkyard and find a 5.0 Explorer. Get the heads and intake from it. Use some headers, get a chip, and enjoy extra hp. Its easy to make power with a 5.0, you just have to turn some wrenches.

Check out the mods in my garage. I'm done with all the easy mods and any further performance mods are just too expensive.

Easy way to make horsepower? Get an explorer engine out of a junkyard...Send the block to a machine shop (Fordstrokers, ACE crankshaft etc.) and have them put new rings and bearings in it...Then get the heads checked, get an Anderson Cam ---> http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.co...emart&Itemid=1 along with the springs to match it, get those installed on the heads, clean your intake up off of the explorer motor, slap some 4:10s, full exhaust and a tire on the car and TA-DA! Mid 12s without any serious money or effort.

well mine makes 222hp right now it has a cobra 5.0 swap, shorty headers, cai, offroad x-pipe, flowmaster 40s so what would be the next step without putting alot of money in it? i was thinking chip to get it tuned for the headers and stuff?

Don't bother with a chip. Save your money and do something better like:

1. Regear the rear axle: 3.73's would be good.
2. MGW short throw shifter.
3. Remove excess weight. Anything you remove at the front will be even better e.g. Smog pump/piping, AC, cruise control and you can clean up your engine bay like I did:

No doubt at all! People say all the time "well, the T4M0 has a faster processor" well so what! How much power does it take to run a simple EFI system anyway. The PS3 is more powerful than the Super Nintendo too, but I have found very few games on any system since that entertain me like the old SNES!

Point is, the A9X family of processors did what it was designed to do. When the 94 came out, it took more processing power and memory to run all the extra EPA mandated smog controls..that's why the newer ECM is faster.

On the other hand, Fox computers still need a tune at a certain point as well. And even though you can slap a radical engine combination into a 93 Mustang and have it idle rock solid all day long, it will still be less than optimal and power will be left on the table! Tuning is the way to go and tuning will make the 94/95 Computers control the car just fine.

My suggestion on parts would be: Flowmasters, O/R H pipe, descent intake manifold and some longtube headers.

Yeah, that's like swapping Windows 95 for Windows 3.1. It's 'cause the Fox computer is ancient and simple that it's forgiving of mods, but I think keeping the existing SN95 computer and adding a Moates QH is a better way to go.
