tranny swap

hey i have a 95 GT with an auto tranny. I want to do a swap to a 5- or 6-speed Manual tranny. What brands should I be looking at and which would be better, a 5 or a 6 speed??? Any idea on pricing? I was thinking about either a Tremec T5 or a T56. I don't really know what they offer compared to a normal stock 5-speed?? Also, could i go with a used transmission? Thanks guys.

A 5 speed is more cost effective ,you should contact G-force transmissions
they could set you up with a T-5 that will handle a lot of power 500hp
to be exact.they also give you a choice of ratios too. Its the same as whats available in your car from the factory but a whole lot stronger so you could use a regular t5 bellhousing, T5shifter and your stock driveshaft too
