Brake light switch

Hey I havent been on in a while, just been cruisin and enjoying my stang. But recently my brake lights stopped working. I see the problem, there is a green wire underneath my brake pedal that is disconnected. Pretty sure thats not supposed to be that way.

anyways, how do I go back to putting it on? I may not be looking hard enough, but I cant seem to find where it goes either.

Why yes it is! Just the part that snaps off and has 2 wires in it. The green wire got pulled out, and I cant seem put the wire back in. I can see where it goes though.
