PCv question

When i pull the line off of the pcv valve, the valve itself has a vacuum on it, and the line from intake has vacuum on it. Now i know the intake should, but should the valve as well?

I'm pretty sure it should. This way oil doesn't get out, but air can get in.

I think it is all a continuing vacuum internally. It's just when you disconnect the hose, both become a vacuum.

The valve closes at low engine vacuum (wide open throttle for instance). During normal driving, idling, and cruising the intake manifold has lots of vacuum and sucks the vapors through the PCV valve. During hard driving the valve closes and blowby gases and oil vapors are sucked out of the valve cover through the air intake. I'm thinking that with the engine idling you should get a little bit of air coming out of the valve. IDK
