Get a new grommet and screen for the pcv.

Actually, the more I think about it, why would the pressure be high if there is a leak in the system?

i was hoping that the high pressure was gona cause the pcv to not be enough to vent the case, but i have a rear main already and none of my damn local shops had a grommet and screen so i dropped the trans today and am gona replace the rear main tomarrow

Leaking or not those gauges aren't very accurate.. Mine actually reads that high with no leaks and normal pressure. A bad PCV grommet or valve won't cause a seal to pop. As johnGT questioned it will actually be less pressurized.

Exactly^.
All my oil leaks have been taken care of and my PCV is fully functional. It sits just a tad lower than the pic he posted. Not a big deal I think. I don't even think the gauge would even tell you if it was really high...It is not an actual "gauge" anyway, it's just an electrical switch. It simply turns it up to around normal if it reads above 6psi.
