Supercharging

I have a 94 gt and I'm wanting to put a self contained vortech supercharger and want to run 6-8 psi. I was wondering what size injectors I should run or if I would even have to change them and if I have to upgrade the fuel pump or mass air if I get it professional tuned.

It will depend on what mods you already have as to how big your injectors will need to be. Stock motor running 6-8 psi could probably get by with 24's. 30's would be safe also. You will have to get a tune when you get bigger injectors and a bigger MAF. You may also need to get a bigger fuel pump. My motor was making about 350 FWHP and was running out of fuel around 4,800 RPM. Mass air will have to be calibrated for whatever size injectors you go with. You will definitely need a tune though.

24lb are to small to supercharge, 24lb are good when you do just an hci combo.

Just go with 42lb to be safe and have the car tuned, you may be able to get away with 36lb injectors,(30lb at the minimum but i bet there wont be much left to turn the boost up)

but by going with the larger injectors and fuel pump gives you room to grow and you wont end up buying the same parts twice.,A bigger fuel pump is a must have item, 255lph

make sure the car gets tuned,

dont run a FMU with under sized injectors or youll regret it

If the car is tuned you dont need to get a new maff (thats if your running the stock maff) cuz they can tune the new size injectors into the computers program, if you choose not to get it tuned youll need to get a new maff calibrated to the new injectors. or some sort of hand held tuner and do it your self

I too agree with ryanw, 42's are almost right in the middle for a lot of boost pressures. They are a lil big for 6lb's but once you hit 8-14 they're perfect. I would have to say even if you got a calibrated MAF, it's still in your best interest to get it tuned (at least i saw gains with a calibrated MAF and a tune, better idle as well).

I wouldn't recommend using the stock MAF with any tune. That blower will move way too much air for the stock MAF. Not only is it too small(will be an airflow restriction which leads to less boost), but you'd peg it out every time you stomp on the gas pedal.

Other than that, I agree with Ryan as well.
