Throttle Body Conversion

I was wondering what I need to do to convert my throttlebody to a 87-93 throttlebody and get rid of the elbow? The reason I want to do this is to broaden my range of usable valve covers. I have roller rockers and there is not a whole lot of stock height valve covers that I can use. I want to use tall valve covers so I dont have to worry about clearance issues. One of the major questions is where do the throttle cables mount on 87-93 cars?

Hi.

It's much more convenient to use intake manifold plenum spacers.

Like this.

Typically you have to remove upper plenum when you make the roller rocker conversion. So you don't need to remove the whole thing. When you are putting things back together just put the spacer in between and presto... :-D there you are.

I already have a 1" spacer under there, I guess I could get another 1" and a new hood. It might look weird but it will work.

I need enough to put tall valve covers on. Right now with the TFS Trackheat with the elbow, it is only about 1.5" above the valve covers.
