IAC bad (again)?
Hello,
So I am not sure where to go from here. When my IAC is plugged in my idle bounces up and down like 50 rpms, if I shift under load either partial throttle or a more motivated press the rpms will rise to 3k. If I am driving above 3k and let off the throttle 100% it will drop slowly too 3k and hang until i come too a complete stop or shift into a gear thats lower then 3k. Does it cold, warm, hot, normal. Kind of scares me because the car will take longer to stop or slow down. I have some very bad cell phone video footage if that would help? Then sometimes, the shit works just fine. Usually if I am super just gentle smooth on the throttle and clutch. Or sometimes it just works fine all around. But then does weird shit again. You can hear (Which I assume to be the iac opening/open) during the sticking. I think its the IAC making the noise from the intake because when I unplug it, the sound goes away. With it unplugged, it idles smooth. No nothings just a nice raaaaaaaaaaaawr, RPM's just drop like a stone when shifting gears, I actually have to give it some gas to match RPM's because i am not used to have to shift so stupid fast. Also when coming down in gear, the exhaust makes a pop... hard to explain its just like pop pop pop pop at the same RPMs that it sticks at. I do not believe I have a vac leak due to the above paragraph. My next concern is maybe a faulty MAF. I have cleaned it several times. I have no cel, but sometimes when in 1st and just letting the clutch out to have the engine pull the car along, I get slight bucking. Could this be an over oiled air filter? I did get a code with my reader, it was like code 467 high speed fan syncro circuit malfunction or something. Is there something that is supposed to activate/deactivate that can affect the amount of fuel being fed to the engine? Or is my car possessed by some long dead NASCAR driver and just wants to smack everywhere? |

Well anyway, I took my IAC off today, split it from the spring, and now it seems like its broken. Wont cold idle, rpms drop like the IAC has been disconnected. No cel still.

Do a KEOR test and see what happens?
