Need some info on 5.0s
Ok so currently I have a 97 cobra(24k miles) with the mods in my signature so not far from stock and some guy wants to do a trade with me for his 95(74k miles) with trickflow heads, trickflow intake, trickflow cams, longtube headers, 73mm throttle body and maf, o/r x pipe with flowmaster mufflers and jlt cai with a tuner. With those parts what kind of power would it make comparably to what my car is making basically stock? Would this be a good trade with money on his end?

So what you're saying is that it would be a good trade? None of the parts are installed but with the money on top I could drop it off at a shop and tell them to start putting them on.

Why I wouldn't.
1.) Trading for a car with more miles and older 2.) You know more about your car, how it runs, etc. Ask yourself, why would he want to trade his car for yours? |

1. Your car is newer and has 50k less miles on it. 2. You know your car. 3. Your Cobra engine has the superstrong Teksid block and excellent 4v heads. 4. Your engine will respond very well to long tube headers, though they're a huge PITA to install. 5. His parts aren't installed yet. Factor in the installation costs, tuning, and troubleshooting and it'll cost a pretty penny. 6. You don't know what other hidden problems his car has.

hold on, so how many miles are on your cobra? how do you go from 199xxx miles in december to having 24k miles now? im pretty sure that the guage rolls that far back??
if you have a mint 24k mile cobra dont trade it but if you have a worn in 224k mile cobra..... TRADE IT. swapping in a h/c/i will get you going faster that that cobra. especially if he is gona give you enough cash on top to have it all installed |
