4r70w question. will an 01 work?
My automatic transmission went out on me. It was an 4r70w on a 94 gt. Someone i know is selling a 4r70w out of a 2001 gt. Will this 01 tranny work as long as i swap bell housings?

If it's a '99+ 4R70W, it'll have to come from a 3.8 V6 model. The GT tranny has a different bellhousing bolt pattern and won't fit behind a 5.0.
