Stock SRT4's run high 13's/low 14's so it's easy to see why your Cobra couldn't keep up. With a few mods you should easily beat your buddy but then your buddy could also add some mods to stay ahead of you. The SRT4 is probably the best bang per buck vehicle on the planet and it deserves huge respect. Don't underestimate their ability to leave drivers of more expensive and powerful vehicles with egg on their face.

dont feel bad they are quick cars, a cobra owner was talkin smack to my buddy (srt4 owner), both cars slightly modded...and the cobra owner has stopped talking trash after 3 passes that he got beaten bad!

i like the spray idea though...do it and smoke 'em

.... and Srt's are Dodge which is domestic, not import

The Dodge SRT4 is often mistaken for a Japanese import but it's indeed American-built (I won't say 100% because some parts are from Mexico and Canada). It's one of the best performance cars (if not the best) that was ever built in the US.
They're front wheel drive though and that makes them difficult to get off the line quickly even with the LSD. If you can get your RWD Cobra to hook up (I'm thinking drag ET radials), you'll at least launch faster than your buddy and build up a useful lead before he starts to close the gap again by the 1/4 mile.

its not the turbo kicking in, the turbo on them is so small there is virtually no lag it is either there tires spinning or them not punching it so the tires dont spin...any way you put it they are mean from about a 30-40 roll!

[quote="Bullitt95"]The SRT4 is probably the best bang per buck vehicle on the planet and it deserves huge respect

BANG for the Buck = Mustang or yes F-Body

we've got an 05 SRT4 around here running 24PSI
and he cant even get below a 12.5

Terminator = 12.9 stock
LS1 is about the same
SRT4 vs GT is a drivers race
Bang 4 the $

I won't disagree on those. Even the new GT has a lot of bang for the buck and the 320hp (true output was probably nearer 340hp) LS1 Camaro SS, though no longer made, was absolutely brilliant in that respect.
