1995 GT fall on face @ 3k rpm >?

I am looking at a 1995 GT. I was told it will fall on it's face at 3k rpm and the seller determined that was the case and it needed plugs. I am not sure if I belive it is because plugs.

Other mods are : flowmasters, H pipe, and no CATS.

Just concerned if I should continue to look into this vehicle due to the issue. I am new to Mustangs. Thanks Guys !

If the seller is adamant that his Stang falls flat on its face at 3000rpm, walk away. While the stock 5.0 engine does produce peak torque at around 3000rpm, it should continue to pull well at least up to 4500rpm before tapering off.
The problem might indeed be the plugs in which case, why doesn't the seller install new plugs to see if it resolves? I'm beginning to wonder if there isn't a more serious underlying problem that the seller is just trying to hide. What's the asking price? Manual or automatic?

Ask him to change the plugs, and if the problem is resolved you'll take it, and pay him back for the money he spent for the plugs. Let him know upfront if it does not, you will not be taking the car. If it does fix the problem, stand to your word.

Decided not to persue this perticular vehicle. Determined to have more "hidden" problems then he wanted to discuss. Definatly not an honest seller!
