Nitrous???
I have been thinking that nitrous would be a really sweet mod. The only problem is that I have never installed or used it before. I was wondering if any of you had any nitrous experience. Mainly I would like to know what to look for in a nitrous kit or a recommended kit, is this something that I could install myself and what are the performance gains. To show how much of a novice I am at this, I'm not even sure when to use it. My guess is that you only use it when you have reached your top gear or else you won't be able to shift fast enough and would blow your engine. Does nitrous have any effect on straight out drag racing or is it only for top out speed?

You will need to decide which system you want, wet or dry. Wet system gets you more power and uses separate solenoids for fuel and n2o. It sprays a mixture of fuel and nitrous into the inlet. Dry system just adds n2o and pressure to your existing fuel. Meaning, wet systems put the mixture in the air stream and dry puts it in thru the injectors, often requiring larger injectors for higher hp. It all depends on how much power, how much you want to spend and how hard you want to work to install it. Maybe someone can add to or correct some of this.
