new temp gauge


Discussing new temp gauge in the 94-95 Forum. i just put a new water temp gauge in my 5.0 and the car ...

new temp gauge

i just put a new water temp gauge in my 5.0 and the car runs at 220 when it gets warm and wont get any higher or lower even when the fan kicks on about what temp. is the 5.0 supposed to run at? i think its running a little hot??

yep, its running hot. start with the small stuff, new t-stat (i recommend a 180*), and use a high pressure spray to clean off your radiator. if you have AC still, undo the radiator brackets and seperate the radiator from the condensor and spray it out real well. this should cool your temps down abit

ok sounds good but if its running hot what temp. is it supposed to be running at?
