1995 Mustang GT 5.0 Intake Manifold

I have had my mustang for about 6 months now an needless to say I am a mustang fanatic already! Now its time for the mods. I want an aftermarket throttle body but I was informed I should get a new intake manifold first. Well I am trying to find out what the best one would be! I appreciate everyone's reply I really do! Thanks!

Click the modded mustangs symbol in the top left of your screen, from there (where you clicked the modular mustang section) there will be a 5.0 mustang section.

you dont necessarly have to have an aftermarket intake manifold, i mean it would be nice but its not a must, ive always been a fan of the trickflow intakes but im a little bias, edelbrock makes a nice one or you could even try to pick up a cobra intake. Googles your friend lol just figure out your budget then start looking. Theres tons of options just dont go with the bbk ssi i heard there a pos but hey all bbk is imo

What are your performance goals for your Mustang, and what mods have you done so far?

ill tell you like everybody ive read on here tell everyone else if that makes sense lol! upgrade your gears first and go from there. if its a 5.0 then put a big cam in it and some longtubes with some normal bolt ons such as cold-air intake, throttle body. now if yhour looking for big time mods with little guess work go with the upper end kits that are provided by Edlebrock and Trickflow with little upgrades to your bottom end of coarse.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested getting an explorer intake. They are basically a crude design of the Cobra and GT40 intakes but much cheaper. I'm seeing them all over the place for under 100 bucks! Craigslist is a great place to find them and there are a ton of write ups on how to install them as well. Look for a 96 and up 5.0 explorer or mountaineer intake.

AND sometimes you can get them with the 65mm stock throttle body which is a great piece but you have to do some minor mods to make it work (throttle blade bracket) and work on a 94/95 model. (there's tons of info on that as well, just search for "Fox throttle body on SN95".
