Yeah, stock 5-speeds come in at about 190rwhp and 255rwtq. Automatics put down a lot less due to the higher drivetrain loss; more like 170rwhp and 220rwtq.

I think Stangfreak4 was more interested in how much HP an average GT puts down to the rear wheels, not the factory-quoted crank figures of 215hp @ 4200rpm and 285lbft @ 3400rpm.
The bottom line is that an automatic puts down about 20-25hp less to the rear wheels than a 5-speed, and that's quite a big difference. |
