I have a 1996, but the same brakes. I would also like to know the answer to this. I also hear there are front clearance issues also.

Is there a spacer that would make it work? I'd hate to lose my nice brakes.

a set of 15x8 welds with 4.5" BS will fit in back without any problems.

The front however, is another matter. You need a 7/16" spacer, 3" studs, AND you will need to clearance the caliper slightly...

OR.. you can run a 1" spacer, 3" studs with deep shank lugs, and deal with the tire sticking out a bit in front...

OR... you can buy a set of bogart wheels..

Not sure if this helps or not...but i have 10.5'' rims on the back of my 95gt wrapped in 315 35's with no clearance issues whatsoever...and no spacers...so i think thats about as big as you can go.
