spool or locker?
if i was gonna put a 3.73, trick flow stage 2 cam, p&p'd 351w heads, and new headers on my car, i was thinkin complete that badass setup with a badass diff. and get a spool. but then i figured id be breakin shit left and right...or crashing in the rain. so which do you guys suggest, spend less and get a spool, or spend more and get a locker?? thanks.

don't get a locker... you don't need it.
it's too rough of a ride for a street car. |

I love my Moser spool.
But if its going to be a daily driver, id think about other options, due to the fact that they do chew up tires and put alot of stress on the rear suspension mounting points. Lockers work great...but they are loud and obnoxious on the street.

yea my buddy has a locker and every time he turns it sounds like broken spider gears. but if i were to get a spool, (seeing as to how they are much cheaper, thats probably what i would want.) what would you suggest i do to make my rear end and rear susp. stronger so i wont break anything? and if anyone knows of a decent locker that isnt super expensive, please lemme know. thanks.

I can tell you what my setup is...but keep in mind...it sees very limited street use.
Moser 33 spline axles Moser c-clip elems. Moser Spool Richmond solid pinion spacer Base Line Level 2 uppers UPR solid bushing lowers Custom made axle tube braces (to prevent bending the axle housing/tubes) Reinforced and welded up upper and lower torque boxes with extra metal added to the bolt hole mounting points to prevent ripping out the bolt holes.
