exhaust leak!?!?

hey guys. i've had an exhaust leak for a while not coming from my passenger side in the engine compartment. some of the bolts were loose and hanging out so I replaced them with some Stage 8 locking header bolts. I'm still getting a real bad leak. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

i was thinking about that, however the gaskets seemed fine. they are copper gaskets and (from what I was told at least), those shouldn't blow out very easily.

on the other hand let's say it is the gasket and i buy new ones. How do i remove the locking header bolts?

you should be able to tell if they are copper as the edges will stick out some. if they are then they won't have blown out...but IMO copper gaskets are junk. i couldn't keep mine from leaking at all and i had header bolts backing out on me all the time. might be a good idea to replace them with conventional gaskets and/or use copper RTV to seal them up.

not sure about the locking header bolts. i believe you just loosen them and then pull the clip out

I have the stage 8s on mine...to remove them, just pull the clip out with some needle nose pliars and then use a wrench or an allen wrench to loosen the bolts...

When i redid my top end, i used the copper gaskets and copper RTV...Worked great for a few months, but seems they are leaking now though...

I havent found a gasket that works yet...Even with the stage 8s..but it could all go back to these MAC LTs.
