high idle

My car idled a little high 1500 since I bought it last week. I was going to set the idle this weekend per the info on this sight. This morning about half way to work I pulled up to a stop light and it would not idle below 2500. Has this ever happened to anyone else and what did you do to fix it. Would it be the Throttle position sensor?

Thanks guys, it did the same thing at lunch, went from 1500 to 1700 to 2000 by the time I got back to work. I will check those out this weekend.

go with the tps 1st cause it is the cheapest.... this happened to me last week haha, and i got the tps 1st, it was like 42 bucks, now the iac is like 60ish
