94 GT Mods
i recently purchased a 94 GT and i was wondering what should be my first mods. the guy i bought it from said he went to Racer Walsh(for those of you in Jax) and got a CAI (not sure what brand) and straight pipes with Force mufflers. other than that, its bone stock. Oh, and its an automatic. any suggestions would be much appreciated!

+1 on the gears......but a tune?.......you dont need a tune yet you have NO mods....go with the gears.....I have a 95 and just put a post that NOBODY can answer I just ordered the Trick Flow top end kit heads intakes cam rockers, etc....supporting mods such as bigger mass air and throttle body 24 lb injectors....I am also rebuilding my aode with kevlar bands a shift kit and maybe a stall....then I am going to tune....asked if anyone has ran this setup or knows anything about it and i have a hundred views but no responses....I need to call them monday to tell them what size maf and tb so if anyone has ideas please feel free to express them....Oh yeah btw go with 4:10's in your auto

4:10s (FRPP or Motive) Get the rebuild kit with the gears, 3000 converter (Look into Edge), and shift kit(Transgo or Baumman)...
You won't regret it. |

Its not too difficult, but takes some time and isn't something you want to mess around with...IF you can find a shop to do it, let them do it, but most shops i have asked WILL NOT do it. I got a few buds here locally that are doing mine soon. |

I went for a 3.73:1 ring & pinion on my automatic and I'd say that's the best option. A 4.10 would make the gearing too short and you'll find yourself at the top of 3rd gear shifting into overdrive at less than 90mph.
If you want to know what other mods you can do, copy mine. The Transgo shift kit is a great tranny mod and a definite must do.

Bro...give it some time, someone will be able to help with that answer soon. One thing about this site that I have learned. Regardless of the ?, at one point or another, someone will be able to help out with an answer, even if it was asked before, new or other. Very good peoples here, so just ride it out.

I will suggest the Ford Racing Gears if your getting gears. I'm sure alot here will agree on that too.
