my 95 mustang gt exhaust is knocking once and a while when i get around 5500 rpms, i have stock headers, bbk offroad h pipe, and borla mufflers. a friend told me my exhaust might be restricted, maybe from the headers, but i dont no. any ideas

do u mean ticking? check for leaks. or do u mean its hitting something? check over the axle. sometimes it can hit the frame or uca. adjust it then tighten it down real good.

if its knocking you may have lost the rubber mounts that hold it to the car....

no its not like that, i know there isnt any leaks and everything is secure and not rattling, but i will check again. its almost like a minor backfire

a ticking is a leak somewhere....manifold, mani gasket, donut gasket......somewhere you have a leak...sure it is your exhaust....you dont have a rod knocking or a valve ticking ?
