Under Drive Pullies for the 94 - 95 5.0's

Which brand would be best outside of Steeda(very pricey) to buy for the 94 - 95 5.0 without worrying about the alleged overheating problem, dead battery problem or using all the pullies except the alternator pulley problem. Thanks in advance!

bbks are up there. i think i may just go with steeda. i was on their site and the price was not that bad. any 94 - 95 guys have testimonials with steeda and the above issues that have been expressed over the various models of our cars?

I only bought the ASP underdrive crank pulley and kept all the other pulleys stock.

Did you see any gains from the ASP pulley? What are they like? Whats their website?

I bought it for $39 from Summit Racing. It's black painted aluminium so it looks stock, but is 5" in diameter as opposed to the stock pulley's 6-3/4" diameter so it underdrives the other accessories by 26%. At 5000rpm, the HP/TQ gain is 2%.
Installation is a piece of cake. Just 4 bolts to remove and reinstall so the whole job takes less than 30 minutes. Just make sure you loosen the bolts first before you remove the drivebelt. I'd already removed the smog pump so I was using an 89.5" belt with the stock crank pulley but with the ASP crank pulley, I'm using an 86.8" belt and it's the perfect length.

ASP for FTW or any other brand as long as they are aluminum not steel.
As far as cooling or charging issues every stang is different. I personally dont run the Alt pulley even with a 150amp Alt. Slap them all on and if a problem arises take that pulley off. They are a great bang for the buck.

I only have the underdrive crank pulley so no charging nor cooling problems for me. I've heard that guys who also have an underdrive alternator pulley do run into charging problems, but none with the underdrive water pump pulley especially if you have a high-flow water pump.
