Throttle Body Size
So im upgrading the TB and was wondering if 70mm would be too much...im running Ud's, CAI, 100 shot. Im going to be changing my intake soon as well. and i was going to go ahead and get a 70mm and the spacer. Is that too much? Should i go with the 65mm instead?

Some aftermarket intakes are tall enough to prevent the factory strut tower brace from fitting, so that's why you may need an aftermarket brace.
A 65mm TB is big enough for a naturally-aspirated HCI 5.0. A 70mm or even a 75mm TB won't hurt but either would be overkill unless you go even further and add a blower or build a stroker.

most aftermarket intakes have a 70mm opening if you plan on using a 70mm you might have to open up the intake a bit

Well i was considering the typhoon intake, and it said i would need to get the extra strut tower brace. So i supose ill order the intake and then see how it fits in with the stock brace and then go from there.

the cobra intake is functionally identical to explorer intakes which can be found for very cheap.

I had to get rid of my strut tower brace to fit my Holley Systemax intakr,no big deal still handles pretty good....im also running a 65mm throtle body by BBK but thats coming out for a 75mm cause its going under the wrench for a turbo this summer.but for a NOS motor 65mm should be all u need..Typhoons i heard arnt that great neither i agree if your on a budget get a GT40 or Cobra.
