Ummm.......I dont know I would maybe try the FORD dealer....just kidding bro....I would check around and ask some people on here what other good cables....but it sounds like something else if you ask me cause the first cable broke with the new clutch was probably original....how many has he broke? even a cheap cable shouldnt break that fast...sounds like its hanging up somewhere...

he broke 2, the first just broke, the second streched out then broke. i told him he needs to wait until the cable is used abit. I saw a steeda adjustable clutch cable for 40 bucks at american muscle, so i think his going to order that one.

well there is no such thing as "breaking in" a clutch cable...either this guy needs some serious driving lessons or something is wrong with the installation of the clutch...did a shop do the install on the clutch...I am assuming so from the sounds of it and if so I would take the car back to them and tell them to get it right .... if he or someone else did it your pretty much screwed tell him he probably needs to take it to a shop or someone who knows what they are doing ... good luck and thats why we are all here to help...later bro

STEDDA! Make sure the cable isn't rubbing near the bell or the o2 sensor. Run the broken cable in the car & follow to the point of break. Look around & see if there is anything in that area that has wear marks on it or somthing in the way. If u run a hard clutch, get the good cable. I'm running a centerforce system with 90% holding power. My cable is fine.

I have the universal cable from maximum motorsports and love it. I would tell your buddy to get an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster. Cable routing is important too. I would stay away from adjustable cables, too much of a PITA.
