RWHP Guess
I have a 95 Mustang GT. I put in a F303 cam, stock heads worked, ported and polished on exhaust side only, stock size valves, push rods, lifters exc, 1.6 rollers, GT40 upper an lower intake, stock throttle body, 75 mm mass air, 19 pound injectors, smog an ac delete, cold air kit, BBK equal length shorty headers, 2 1/2'' exhaust. O yea stock pistons, rods, crank. Im in the process of moving and cant get it tuned yet.
If any one could tell me what they think i might be pushing as in rwhp/rwt that would be greatly appriciated. Feel free to leave comments on any aspect of what i did. Thank you. |

Its a T5 tranny. Heads are all stock besides port an pollish on the exhaust side. I told the shop to only resurface and assemble the new valves and beehive springs. My mass air is calibrated to 19 injectors.

actually in 1993 the 5.0s were de-tuned to 205hp at the crank so it would be aproximatly 175 stock at the wheels so i would say about 200 - 215hp

the 93 stangs were not detuned. the rating method changed. they will put down the same power as the previous years, which is usually around 190rwhp with a 5 spd.

i was just reading an artical on it and they said that ford restricted the air flow both in and out of the engine, which in turn killed horse power

not any moreso than any other year stang. all of the parts are all identical from 89-93 except for the hypereutectic pistons which did not cost any power.

Your heads are really restricting the engine's breathing, especially since you left the intake ports stock. They only flow 150-160cfm and that's way below what the GT40 intake offers. You'd have a better combination if you also swapped on a pair of GT40 heads.
